MOPACA's winter seminar is held every January, and focuses on topics including fiber and fiber processing, animal husbandry, color genetics, and marketing,

The MOPACA Invitational Alpaca Show has become one of the country's favorites.
Each year hundreds of alpacas and their owners converge at the American Royal Hale Arena in Kansas City, Missouri.
The MOPACA show offers an opportunity for alpaca owners to compete in a halter show, with nationally known and certified alpaca judges assessing their fiber and their conformation. Additional competitions such as performance, walking fleece, or fleece shows may also be held.
The 2021 MOPACA Show is scheduled for March 27-28. Keep your eye on this site!

MOPACA Winter Seminar 2020 – Nutrition, Nutrition, Nutrition!
On January 25, 2020, MOPACA held the annual winter seminar. We were fortunate to have Dr. Norm Evans share his knowledge and thoughts about nutrition for all age groups, plus special issues such as external parasites.
The seminar was attended by seasoned alpaca owners and breeders as well as folks who are preparing to get their first alpacas. Regardless of level of experience, all attendees reported value in the seminar.
Feedback from participants told us that the seminar was valuable. “As always, Dr. Norm gives a wealth of information. The venue was great, it was very easy to hear and the handouts were an added bonus. The overnight accommodations were excellent, and the food was healthy and there were multiple choices.“
MOPACA’s educational events are open to both members and non-members alike. More information about educational opportunities can be found here.
