Who We Are

  • MOPACA is a network of alpaca farms and related businesses that are willing to share information, educate others, and offer advice about alpacas.
  • MOPACA’s website (www.mopaca.org) is designed to promote public awareness of alpacas and to bring national focus to the states in which MOPACA members are located.
  • The MOPACA.org website has a direct link on Alpaca Owner’s Association website, as well as links to many other web resources. Alpaca Owner’s Association is the United States’ national association. www.alpacainfo.com
  • Members make new friends and keep up with the industry through interaction with other MOPACA members at meetings, seminars, and our annual show.

Membership Fees

MOPACA online membership fees are $125 per year for a Farm Membership, and $65 per year for a Fiber/Business membership.  You may pay online or via check if you prefer.

MOPACA's Purposes

  • Promote public awareness of alpacas and to bring national focus to the states in which MOPACA’s members are located as a pleasant place to purchase and raise alpacas;
  • Educate the membership of MOPACA on the care and breeding of alpacas;
  • To provide information and resources on promoting and marketing alpaca fiber and products;
  • To provide a network of communication among alpaca owners and breeders;
  • To operate as a nonprofit organization within the meaning of Section 501(c)(5) of the Internal Revenue Code; and
  • Adhere to the objectives of the national Alpaca Owners Association (AOA).

Membership Year

The membership year starts June 1.  You may join at any time during the year and receive the assigned benefits for your membership level for the remainder of the membership year.
