MOPACA invites you to LEARN IT, LIVE IT, LOVE IT with us!

The MOPACA Invitational Alpaca Show (MIAS) and the Mid America Alpaca Challenge will be facilitated in accordance with the current AOA Show Division rules. You do not need to be a MOPACA member to enter.

The MOPACA Invitational Alpaca Show will include:

  • Halter Show
  • Walking Fleece
  • Bred and Owned
  • Small Breeder

The Mid America Alpaca Challenge will include:

  • Halter Show
  • Novice Small Breeder classes (in business 10 yrs or less and no more than 20 registered females.)
  • Production classes
  • Youth Performance classes

Dates:  April 10 - 12, 2026  (Check-in and set up on April 9 - See Thursday's activities here.)

    Mid America Alpaca Challenge:

      Location: American Royal Hale Arena  The American Royal is a 14-acre complex located in the historic River Bottoms District 5 minutes from downtown Kansas City.

      Registration:  Registration for the Halter Show and Walking Fleece Show opens October 13, 2025. More information is available here.  Key dates are provided here.  Please note, when paying by PayPal that you need to be patient and not rush to re-enter as it takes time for PayPal to process payments.

      Fees:  

      Registration fees for Halter Show entries, Walking Fleece:

      $45 / animal, members

      $50 / animal, non-Members

      $25 / animal for youth classes

       

      Production Classes (Get of Sire, Produce of Dam, Breeders Best Three):

      $45 / entry, members

      $50 / entry, non-Members


      Stalls:  

      Members – early bird rate of $145 until 3/15/2026. After 3/15/2026 rate is $155

      Non-Members – early bird rate of $160 until 3/15/2026.  After 3/15/2026 rate is $170

      Youth – $25 per stall, as long as the stall is only used for youth entries


      Vendor Space:

      Member $150; Non-member $160

      Electricity $25

      Tables $10

      WI-FI:   Please provide your own method for internet. Hale Arena does not provide WI-FI.

      Sponsors:

      Sponsors may place an item, e.g., brochure, flyer or small advertising item, at the registration tables or at your set-up. These items must be no larger than 8.5” x 11”. 

      Please send a quantity of 120 after February 15th so they arrive no later than March 25, 2026. Boxes or envelopes should be marked “FLYERS” and mailed to:

      Items received after March 25 will be returned to Sponsor, Vendor or Member at the show. NO ITEMS ARE TO BE MAILED TO THE AMERICAN ROYAL.

      Miscellaneous:

      • Food and drink concessions will be available Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
      • Smoking and pets are not permitted in the facility.
      • As a courtesy to your fellow exhibitors, please do not tear down until the end of the show on Sunday(Tear Down will begin at 3 pm on Sunday)
      • If you are not a show exhibitor, no outside sales of animals are permitted at this venue.
      • No animals or trailers with animals other than those of exhibitors will be allowed at this venue from 7:00 A.M., April 9 through 8:00 P.M., April 12 2026.

      COVID-19:  MOPACA will comply with any applicable COVID recommendations at the time of the shows.
